BEST for BABES is the only non-profit dedicated to giving breastfeeding a makeover and to revealing and removing the “booby traps”- the barriers to breastfeeding that keep tripping women up! New moms don’t need more judgment, pressure, or to be discriminated against for nursing, they deserve to be cheered on, coached and celebrated! BFB is giving moms the boost they need to be successful. We are elevating breastfeeding to a world-class cause and harnessing the power of celebrities, corporations, foundations, fashion, advertising, the medical community and the media to break down the barriers.

Boosting the Immune System: Presented by Debbie Mercier, Herbalist, on Sunday November 29th, 1pm-4pm. $26 Includes handout and your own bottle of Cough Syrup. This workshop will focus on boosting the immune system in a safe and natural way, with food and herbs. Explore how to use natural therapies and leave with formulas to improve winter health. We will also make a cough syrup together! Making Medicinal Salves: Presented by Debbie Mercier, Herbalist, on Sunday December 13th, 1pm-3pm. $22 Includes handout and your own jar of Salve. Back Door to the Moon

A fond goodbye to Back Door to the Moon, the little shop that has been home to Mothers Moon products and services for the past ten years. Sandi will be closing the shop on November 14th. It's been wonderful, and we now celebrate this time of change and newness. Please do stop by the shop for a cup of tea, and some early holiday shopping...most everything there is now 50% off. Safer Chemicals,HealthyFamlies (a nationwide effort to pass smart federal policy to protect us from toxic chemicals) has joined forces with Seventh Generation to present a virtual rally in which cyber babies descend on Washington, D.C. to make a stink about all the toxic chemicals invading their bodies. Go to http://www.millionbabycrawl.com/ and search for my baby, MMoon, to support it. You can also create your very own crawler, watch videos of babies pontificating atop soap-boxes, and spread the word. Seventh Generation wants to attract a million or more crawlers to dramatize the wide public support for overhauling the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Every crawler represents a virtual signature on a petition, which will be delivered to Washington, D.C. in January, 2010. Seventh Generation is providing a great boost to the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families coalition, using its creative marketing know-how to capture the attention of Congress at a key moment in our campaign.
